Katy Mental Health networking luncheon- SEPT. 6, 2013

Our guest speaker this month is Ruby Renz.  Shame is the feeling and conviction of never being good enough.  Brené Brown, PhD, is a research professor at UH Graduate School of Social Work who has spent more than a decade researching shame.  She has developed a psychoeducational group curriculum, Connections, to help persons become aware of, and decrease, their levels of shame.  Ruby Renz, LPC is a Certified Connections Facilitator candidate.  Ruby will give an overview of Brené's curriculum and lead us in an exercise that will help us become more aware of our shame--and our strengths.
